Students Council
Akemi Business School serves as a direct gateway to students’ desired vocations and career paths.
Importance of Student Council:
Student Representation:
The student council serves as the voice of the student body, ensuring that their opinions, concerns, and ideas are heard and considered in decision-making processes.
Leadership Development:
The council provides a platform for students to develop leadership skills, fostering a sense of responsibility and accountability.
Promoting School Spirit:
Through organizing events, activities, and initiatives, the student council contributes to building a positive school culture and enhancing school spirit.
Community Building:
The council works to create a sense of belonging and unity among students, enhancing the overall social environment within the educational institution.
- A Mid Term Test: Open Book Test from Group-A: On first 2 Units for assessing CO1 & CO2,
- Case Study/Case let /Situation Analysis from Group- B: for assessing other Cos
- Written Test – Preliminary Exam for assessing CO1 to CO5/6
- Any one of Concurrent evaluation of faculty choice from Groups as defined in the syllabus
- Attendance / General Behaviour / Learning Diary. As prescribed by SPPU in Syllabus revision CCE. Course teachers shall opt for a combination of one of more CCE methods can be selected as per your session plan requirements.
Goals of Student Council :
- Enhance Student Engagement: Encourage active participation and involvement of students in various aspects of school life.
- Advocate for Student Interests: Represent the student body in discussions with school administration to address concerns and advocate for improvements.
- Promote Diversity and Inclusivity: Foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and ensures representation from all student demographics.
- Organize Meaningful Events: Plan and execute events and activities that contribute to the overall development and enjoyment of the student community.
- Support Academic Excellence: Collaborate with faculty and administration to create an environment conducive to academic success.
Duties of Student Council :
- Conduct Regular Meetings: Hold regular meetings to discuss student concerns, upcoming events, and initiatives.
- Communicate with Students: Keep the student body informed about council activities, decisions, and opportunities for involvement.
- Plan and Execute Events: Organize events, including social gatherings, fundraisers, and community service projects.
- Collaborate with Administration: Work closely with school administration to address issues, propose improvements, and participate in decision-making processes
- Mentorship and Support: Provide mentorship and support to fellow students, especially newcomers, to facilitate their integration into the school community.
- Promote a Positive School Culture: Encourage and exemplify positive behavior, respect, and cooperation among students.
- Student Council Committee: as per Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 (Mah. Act No. VI of 2017) Section 99(3)
