Akemi Business School serves as a direct gateway to students’ desired vocations and career paths.
Importance of Student Council:
Student Representation:
The Student Council serves as the voice of the student body, ensuring that student opinions, concerns, and ideas are heard and considered in decision-making processes.
Leadership Development:
The Council provides a platform for students to develop leadership skills, fostering a sense of responsibility and accountability.
Promoting School Spirit:
Through organizing events, activities, and initiatives, the Student Council contributes to building a positive school culture and enhancing school spirit.
Community Building:
The Council works to create a sense of belonging and unity among students, enhancing the overall social environment within the educational institution.
- Mid Term Test (Open Book Test) from Group-A on the first two units for assessing CO1 and CO2.
- Case Study / Caselet / Situation Analysis from Group-B for assessing other COs.
- Written Test (Preliminary Exam) for assessing CO1 to CO5/CO6.
- Any one Concurrent Evaluation method from the prescribed groups, as selected by the faculty.
- Attendance, General Behaviour, and Learning Diary as prescribed by SPPU under CCE guidelines. Course teachers may choose a suitable combination of CCE methods based on the session plan requirements.
Goals of Student Council :
- Enhance Student Engagement: Encourage active participation and involvement in various aspects of school life.
- Advocate for Student Interests: Represent the student body and address key student concerns with the administration.
- Promote Diversity and Inclusivity: Foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and ensures fair representation.
- Organize Meaningful Events: Plan and execute events and activities that enrich the student experience.
- Support Academic Excellence: Collaborate with faculty and administration to promote academic success.
Duties of Student Council :
- Conduct Regular Meetings: Discuss student concerns, upcoming events, and key initiatives.
- Communicate with Students: Keep the student body informed about council activities, decisions, and opportunities.
- Plan and Execute Events: Organize social gatherings, fundraisers, and community service projects.
- Collaborate with Administration: Work with the school administration to address issues and propose improvements.
- Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance and support to fellow students, especially newcomers.
- Promote a Positive School Culture: Encourage positive behavior, respect, and cooperation among students.
- Student Council Committee: Constituted as per the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 (Mah. Act No. VI of 2017, Section 99(3)).
